Some guy sold 3 tablespoons of water that was was in a cup that Elvis Presley drank from for $455 on eBay. Now he has put up for bid the foam cup that he drank out of.
Except you don't actually win the cup, you win a one-time appearance of the cup. The guy doesn't want to sell it, but he will personally fly to you and show it to you.
Check it out here.

eBay forgets to renew their Passport
eBay decided to do away with Microsoft's Passport system. For those of you that don't know, Passport was Microsoft's attempt at trying to get into every business's customer database. The theory went that you register for Microsoft's Passport and you don't have to register for any other site.
A scary idea if you ask me. Every ecommerce site going through Microsoft. If someone at Microsoft called to ask me what I thought about the idea when they launched it a few years ago, I would have told them the idea sucked and no one would want to adopt it. I guess that should really teach them a lesson for not consulting with me first about major things. :)

eBay sex video probe
This is from last week, but it's still interesting enough I think.
Someone sold a sex video on eBay in India, which was against the law. The strange part is Indian authorities arrested and jailed the CEO of eBay's Indian subsidiary.
Maybe he should have personally reviewed every auction first.

We have lift off!
Went ahead and registered a domain yesterday. And decided to just use Blogger as the content management system for this site (mostly because I'm lazy). Basically it's just going to be interesting things that people sell on online auctions.
We'll just call this a new site for the new year or something. 6 hours until 2005, but maybe someone from Europe is reading this right now where it's already 2005. :)
